Privacy Policy — Slam Wager

Slam Wager ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account info: email, display name, and password (hashed). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name, and profile photo.
Payment info: processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We store a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Usage data: pages visited, picks viewed, device type, IP address, and similar telemetry collected via cookies and standard server logs.
Communications: if you contact support, we keep a record of the conversation.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the Service (deliver picks, manage your subscription)
To process payments and prevent fraud
To send service-related emails (billing receipts, account notices, important updates)
To improve the product and our AI models (in aggregate, non-identifying form)
To comply with legal obligations

3. Who We Share With

We share data only with vendors who help us run the Service:

Stripe — payment processing and tax compliance
Supabase — authentication and database hosting
Google — if you choose to sign in with Google
Cloudflare — content delivery and DDoS protection

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share data with advertisers.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Data Retention

We keep account data while your account is active and for up to 24 months after closure to comply with tax and accounting obligations. You can request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below); some records (e.g. tax invoices) may be retained as required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and associated data
Export your data in a portable format
Object to or restrict certain processing
Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we don't do either)

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. We restrict internal access on a need-to-know basis. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

8. Children

The Service is for adults 21+ only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. By using it, you consent to your data being processed in the US, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
